The Volare builds upon the success of the Kahele OC1, offering enhanced performance for larger seas and paddlers. With a slightly wider waterline and taller bow, it maintains speed on larger bumps, providing stability in rough conditions. Its adjustable foot brace sets it apart from other OC1s, allowing paddlers to customize their center of gravity. While nearly as fast as the Kahele in flat water, the Volare excels in surfing and offers added stability, making it suitable for middle-heavy weight paddlers or beginners seeking improved performance. This design evolution was inspired by the desire to create a fuller boat for bigger conditions without compromising flatwater speed, and to fulfill a longstanding goal of incorporating an adjustable foot brace.
